This was overall a good introductory chem course. As someone who had never taken chem before, I came in afraid but left feeling confident. Reslan gives very fair tests that closely resemble the practice she gives. However, her lectures are atrocious, the worst lecturer I have had at UCLA. However if you put in the work and go to TA and professor office hours that completely makes up for the lack of good lecture.

Reslan was very kind and helpful although sometimes slightly disorganized and would lose her train of thought. The first midterm we had was extremely easy and almost word for word like the problems we did in discussion- but then I think she overcompensated with the second midterm which was much harder. The final was very fair, as long as you go to discussion and do the worksheets you should be fine.

Reslan is a sweetheart. Listen in class and do the hw problems, you'll be fine.
