lolll i took this class cos the reviews all said it was super easy but tbh i feel like it got low key harder with covid. the material wasn't too hard bc the prof is a great guy and he really knows his stuff so he lectured well, but the quizzes really got me. the wording was super detailed and asked us more about like tiny details that i felt were super hard and cost me a lot of points. i was super scared for my grade in this class from the beginning of the quarter bc i didn't know how the quizzes were before we took them, and after i took one and i flopped i really started studying a ton more than i thought this class would require given how the reviews talked about how easy it was. it's def doable if you study and put in the work, i guess i was just taken aback bc it seemed much more challenging than the super positive reviews had talked about it when they took it pre-covid.
prof is super amazing tho, nothing on him lol. he's very kind and you can tell he genuinely cares about like health and stuff which is why he teaches this class. if u need help or idk have questions about the class i'd be glad to talk about it, email at ************* :))
Professor Esdin was great, but this class was relatively difficult this quarter. Everyone seemed to score low on quizzes. However the curve was very generous. Im sure next quarter will be much better. I have the course reader from Winter (I bought it off someone) but it has mostly the same info he went over. You can buy it off me for $35 (including shipping) email me *************
I'm selling winter and spring 2019 course readers, which cost $100+ at the store in Westwood. Text me if you want them **********
Class was light on workload and easy to manage. You learn a lot but it's not particularly intensive, and Professor Esdin is lenient and student-friendly. Don't skip discussions. Go to lectures before the midterm and final especially to get a review of what will be tested.
Selling COURSE READER AND IPROFILE ACCOUNT for $40. The course reader does have my notes on it but I passed the class so hopefully they'll be helpful. Course reader is in good condition too.
Contact me if you want it **********
Pretty decently easy GE class. Covers lab requirement but only meets 4 or 5 times a quarter instead of every week. Readings help with midterm and final questions - sometimes what he says in lecture contradicts the readings, and in those cases, follow what it says in the text. Lecture is sometimes unclear, course reader makes it easier to understand.
Material is not hard, mostly a memorization based class.
Selling my Course Reader + iProfile + Workbook + Notes + completed and graded final project (got full marks) for $60 OBO!! Almost perfect condition for physical books. Text me **********
Great class to take! Fairly easy and straight forward. Got an A in the class :)
Selling all the required material for this class which includes the textbook, workbook, and the iprofile. Message me at **********
Definitely take Physci 5! Esdin is a great professor and if I could, I would take all of the classes he teaches (already took LS2 with him). He really cares about his students and is really engaging. The material for this class was ridiculously overpriced (100+ dollars!) but unfortunately very necessary. His exam and quiz questions come directly from the course reader so even if you go to lecture, he could include things he didn't go over as long as they're in the course reader. The workbook that comes with the textbook is worth 100 points and the iProfile access code you buy is necessary for you to make the project (another 100 points). Overall there's: participation, quizzes, the project, the workbook, 1 midterm, and 1 final. Overall a very interesting and useful class.
PS for those who want my old iProfile access code, workbook, and course reader, text me at **********. I have the material from Winter 2016 but am selling it now (2016-2017 school year)
The former post has wrong phone number.

Useful class.
Selling my course reader, workbook and i-profile with good price. (Free course notes, review materials, and ideas about how to prepare for the examinations) If u r interested, please msg me at ********** :)
I recommend you guys to take the class not only for a GE but also for your life. I learn a lot about diet and exercise and some of my misunderstandings of nutrition and health were broken up.
About the Class
========================
1. Attendance. there are sign-in sheets for each lecture. What is important for your success in the class is, Dr. Esdin will sometimes release one question that will be shown on midterm/final. There are four labs that need your participation. Each of them helps you to measure how your body functions. Very interesting.
2. Required materials. 1 course reader, 1 workbook, 1 i-profile. I recommend you buy second-hand since if you buy these things in the bookstore, it will charge you more than $100.The edition of course reader doesn't matter from my perspective. But you need to buy the workbook. I-profile is an online software on which you record you daily diet and exercise(Which is needed for the assignment).
3. Prepare for the exams. That's a tricky part. One of my friend even said: "To prepare for the class, just write down every thing he said...“ To some extend, that's true. The exams can ask really detailed questions. It seems like every sentence in the course reader can show on your exams. I didn't do well in my midterm but before finals, I fortunately got the idea about how to prepare for the exams. ①Attend the lecture. Dr.Esdin will emphasize the important things. ② attend the review session, go back to the pages that include the important things that he mentions. ③do not miss the free questions that he gives during lectures.
4. Dr. Esdin has accent but he is easy to comprehend. The class doesn't have bruin cast or slides.
Highly recommend:)
