Goff is a wonderful professor and person. She is very friendly and really cares for her students. She gives live lectures and also records them. I always looked forward to attending her lectures and she explains the material very clearly and thoroughly.
Her exams are relatively easy as long as she may attention during class and do the homework (which are just short written reports).
I had a lot of fun learning from this class and I highly recommend taking this upper div at the beginning of your college career since many of the other psych classes build upon the material taught in this class!
Professor Goff is a great professor who cares about her students and ensures that students have the experience possible. The material is interesting and the content is not too difficult however I do believe that in order to get an A you really do have to study the material in detail. Furthermore, I feel like people need to learn to separate their feelings for a professor from the difficulty of a class as I found the exams to be somewhat challenging.

As long as you go to class and reread the lectures the night before the midterm and final you'll be good. You kind of have to apply the info but not really. The exams were like 40-50 questions MC and not too tricky. She makes the lectures interesting by relating it to her own children.
Goff is a great professor and the material is super interesting. Her exams however, are no joke. In my opinion, her questions aim to trick you instead of actually testing on the material. I really enjoyed the class and the written assignments but the exams really affected my grade. No textbook required, no participation required, extra credit, weekly written assignments, 2 exams. Take her but make sure to study hard!!
Professor Goff is a very fair teacher. She is a clear lecturer and although her classes are bruincasted, I believe that it is very beneficial to attend lecture (also because it is mandatory) and keep up with the class. If you follow along and pay attention to her lectures, then you should be able to do well on her exams. She also drops your lowest midterm score, which is super cool and considerate! Overall, great class with super interesting info!!!
I read Bruinwalk for this class and everyone made it seem pretty easy. The exams aren't THAT easy. I had a pretty difficult time with it. It's also a point system. Memorization won't help you AT ALLLLL. You really got to idk understand understand it. Also idk about the professor. Literally the second it was 2:00 she just started blabbering about the lecture like I had no idea what she was saying at one point all i heard was ASDSDFDFSDFS. She was going so fast because she wanted to go through the slides. I don't know.
Again, tests weren't that easy like I'd rate this class a 3.0 for easiness and for professor I would give 2.9. She wasn't very engaging, she was funny but seems unapproachable. I feel like if it wasn't for the final being online I would've gotten a B.
TAKE THIS CLASS WITH DR. GOFF!!!!!!
First, I would just like to say professor Goff has by far been my FAVORITE professor ever! Her lectures are so engaging and so fun. She is so passionate about developmental psych. She has explained everything perfectly and knows this subject like the back of her hand. Unlike most professors, when you ask her a question about the material, she gives you the best possible answer and makes sure you understand it. If you do not, she will gladly explain it again. I have learned so much in her class and I am very sad that this class is over, but I will 100% be taking more of her classes in the future. She made everything so easy and accessible since classes are remote. I cannot stress how much I loved this class and professor Goff and the TA's. No matter what, she was always so understanding and just amazing overall. I can go on and on about how much I loved this class and Dr. Goff!! Shoutout to my TA Felix, you're the best!
This class compromised of 1 midterm and 1 final, 50 questions each along with 8 writing assignments due every week on Saturday. Professor Goff was really engaging and would spend ages explaining something to make sure that you’d understand everything. For her tests, they were more application base so simply knowing or memorizing the slides would do you no good, and it is pretty rushed but if you keep a clear focus you should do pretty well. She had to leave halfway through the quarter due to familial reasons but she posted her old lectures and I still managed to get what I needed to from the class. Would definitely take a class again!
Goff was an extremely passionate professor. She always made lectures interactive and interesting. I loved how she would talk about her sons and share cute videos. The weekly writing assignments were straightforward and helped to deepen understanding of the course material. The midterm and final require a decent amount of studying (even though they are open notes). As long as you take good notes and understand the material rather than memorize, you will perform well in this class. I would definitely take this class again.
