I agree with the review below that says that the positive reviews were probably written by the landlord or one of his workers (I know at least one of them must have a UCLA login). I'm fairly indifferent to this place myself, but I agree with the negative comments made. The landlord is pretty bad, the elevator breaks all the time, the jacuzzi is hardly ever warm, and the price is way more than what it should be. Talk to other people before renting here.

my overall review of this apartment is that it is one of the worst places you can live. there's a reason why most apartments close to UCLA are all rented out by the time school starts EXCEPT THIS APARTMENT. I lived here my 3rd year at UCLA and plan on moving to the Pink Palace (a much better place). Before I get into this review, i would like to give an UNBIASED review, and offer the pros and cons of this apartment.

PROS
1. a nice view from the top of the apartment with a jaccuzi (though its only heated appx. 1/3 of the times I've wanted to take a dip
2. it's pretty close to campus, a 20 minute walk to class and a 30 minute walk to westwood eating spots.

CONS
1. the carpets are trashed. so many dirty stains that are UNREMOVABLE even with my baller vaccum cleaner
2. this place has leaks all over the place. my faucet has leaked 3 times within the last 2 months.
3. 3-4 times within the past year, when I have wanted to take a bath, the WATER CAME OUT WITH DIRT!!! it was so nasty.
4. one time when my top floor neighbors spilled water on their carpet, it leaked through my ceiling. this only happened once, but it was extremely inconvenient having to place a bucket under the leak from above.
5. THE ELEVATOR HAS BROKEN DOWN AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 2 WEEKS. i've had to go around the apartment to take the stairs and its again, very inconvenient when carrying groceries.
6. the trash chute on our floor never closes all the way. theres been lots of times where its stunk up the entire hallway.

This place is alright. Shower will go from warm to cold often. We had a washer and dryer, but it broke and they did not replace it for 6 months. It sat in our apartment with water for 4. Some apartments have nice kitchen appliances, ours did not. Also, some rooms do not have light fixtures. Joint balcony made parties nice, but awkward if you do not know your neighbors. You can paint the walls if you want. There was also a fire earlier this year and the alarms did not go off. Also, the elevator does not work most of the time. Management is horrible to deal with, they never get back to you when you want. The only time they are around is when they want money from you. If I had another choice, I would not live here, nor recomend it to any friends.

This place sucks. The two reviews below sound like they were written by the landlord and his lousy workers. He is always trying to hustle students to get the most money and this place is a shithole. Seriously, he told us it would be 3300 for a 2 bedroom but when we looked on craigs list, he listed the apt at 2900. You can easily get cheaper rooms at other places STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Absolutely do not live here, the landlord is horrendous and apparently hasn't given back a security deposit ($3000!!) in 6 or 7 years, according to UCLA Student Legal Services. He claims that you broke things that you didn't and wants you to fix them, parks in the driveway and blocks you into the garage, lets himself into your apartment all the time, there are termites all the way up in the third floor and there are termite droppings all over the place, and one apartment had no electricity for weeks until they hired an electrician and took that cost out of their rent....only to have the landlord try to give them a $600 fine for paying "incomplete" rent. He also threatens to sue you all the time. Really, don't live here, it sucks.

The landlord is nice… he helps us if we have a problem.. The rooms are bigger than others in the area…
distance to school - it really isn't that bad..
I haven’t had a problem and this is the second year staying here.. pretty quite building

This place is a hell hole. "Mike" (as he calls himself) charges $100 per month per parking space. The water constantly changes from hot to cold and the washer/dryers suck. Oh and him and his croonies constantly knock to show the apartment. One time an annoyingly happy man knocked persistently for 10 minutes, waking me up. I have also been in numerous arguments with this so-called Mike and they always end in cursing and slamming of doors. Do not live here. Just for your good, DON'T!!! Unless of course you like dealing with shady creepers.

shady and over-priced.
don't waste your time/money.
everybody gets charged different prices for rent/parking. It's ridiculous.

This place makes you envy the homeless people in Westwood. The landlord is a flat out crook. He tries to steal money from students every chance he gets. He lies about his name (it is really John, not Mike) and will try to swindle you when negotiating the lease. He also throws out threats to tenants and demands money for breaking rules that never existed. You'd have to be out of your mind to live here if you talk to anyone that ever has.
