Professor Tian is literally the GOAT, on par with Nader. The class has three in-person quizzes, open internet, but no help from LLMs and it was honestly pretty easy. She provides practice quizzes, sometimes with the same questions as the real quiz. The group project is pretty okay too but if you do an ML-based project, make sure you have good hardware because its lowkey pay2win. Definitely recommend taking this course--its an easy A elective.

Course material is complete and flushed out with the three projects. TAs were very helpful on campuswire even with the lack of discussion sessions. The labs before each projects were very helpful. Professor does not upload slides beforehand which I personally don't like but whatever floats your boat. This was taught mostly as a projects course, only three quizzes and two major group presentations. Professor is very nice, 10/10 would recommend.
