I loved the professor and material for this class, but not so much the grading structure. The first couple of weeks were very nanophysics focused, which kind of went over my head, but the rest of the quarter was a lot of easily digestible chemistry and biology of nanotechnology and how they relate to the environment. Both the midterm and final exams were open notes, and quite easy. However, the final project was group work. Unfortunately, my groupmates were not very involved or focused on our topic, resulting in a group grade of B-, which brought my class average from an A (from exams/homework) down to a final grade of B+. If the final project did not weigh so heavily on the final grade (I believe it was 50%), this class would be a 5 for me.
