Look the reader sucks because if for some reason one can\245t understand the mumbo-jumbo that he writes for himself then there is nothing else to refer to. The lecture was at 8 in the morning and I attended but when your already sleepy, you can\245t expect to wake up and listen to a boring man discuss economics. The TA\245s probably save him because they are extremely helpful. Don\245t go to lecture and make up for it by going to every single discussion section and visiting your TA as many times as possible. Trust me.
zame is BY FAR the WORST professor i've had at ucla. he doesnt care about the students at all! i had personal problems which made me unable to go to class for the second half of the quarter. i ended up getting a C. if zame gave out C- i could have retaken the class and gotten into my major. he refused to change my grade. he is inconsiderate of others. horrible professor. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!!
Zame is very nice and his test is not difficult at all. As long as you do all the problems in the book, you won't get bad grade. He is very efficient too. I got A in this class, actually I didn't spend too much time on it, I just did the problems.
Zame is very nice and efficient. The best way to contact him is by email. He can solve your problem right away. If you do all the homework and parctice the problems in the book, you won't get bad grade. Find a good TA is very important.JUST DO THE PROBLEMS IN THE BOOK AND PRACTICE THE OLD TESTS, YOU WILL GET A FOR SURE!!
i took econ 11 with profeesor zame and it wasn too bad. dont be scared by all the negative reviews. the material is not hard as long as you stay on top of it. unlike what his reviews might say, i thought zame was very friendly and very willing to help with problems outside of class. in conclusion, if you take at least a week before the midterm and final to cram, youll be ok.
Professor Zame is pretty good as far as I'm concerned. He's straightforward and tries to make the material digestable for his students. I was intimidated by all the previous reviews of how tough he was...but I did just fine. DO ALL THE HOMEWORKS...EVEN THE OPTIONAL ONES AND DO THE PRACTICE ONES IN THE BOOK. That's essential to passing the class...but I highly recommend him. Also, GO SEE UR TA REGULARLY...it'll help!
Zame's class is definitely "passable." Although the midterm was pretty easy, he made the final too hard. The tests may be hard, but they are not graded too hard. His book was written by himself, and even though it had a lot of mistakes, it was better than reading a regular econ textbook. His final was very tricky, so just be sure to know the different methods that may be possible to come across. So overall, I do recommend Zame, especially over McDevitt!!
Zame actually isn't too bad. His major problems are that his lectures a really really boring and have nothing to do with his homework(you will have to look in the back of his almost worthless reader in order to find good examples). The midterm was extremely easy but the final was tricky. However, doing well is not hard if you talk to the TA's, especailly before the final. The WILL give you some hints as to what will be on it. The one thing I was always left wondering was where the econ came in with all the math that we did. You have a definite advantage if you are good at math or are a math major. Although no Mcdevitt, Zame does a fairly good job. There are worse out there, after all
