Winter 2025 - I took this class as a GE, and it is the easiest GE I have ever taken. There was no test, no presentation, just some writing assignments that involved a bit of reading. There were supposed to be weekly reflections, but the professor cancelled some because he knew some students were going through the fire, their midterm, and their final. Our final is a two-page blog assignment on a topic we discussed in class that you found interesting. The professor actually takes the time to read through everything we wrote and provides feedback on it. Attendance in lecture and discussion is mandatory, but you are allowed up to 1 absence without penalty.

Fall 2023 - For a 5 unit class, this was one of my more chill classes for the fall quarter. I was surprised by how chill and understanding Bill was during this class. Assignments were not difficult at all, written assignments were at best always 2 pages max. The TA in this class was very engaging and understanding; if you needed an extension for any reason, Bill would give it to you. The final for this class was confusing, though the professor admitted it was his first time doing it. While he said he would probably move back to a test final the next quarter he teaches this class, overall Bill was just chill and engaging every time considering I was expecting a significant amount of work for this class.

Summer 2020 - The professor was amazing and super helpful. I would recommend this class to pre-law students and even those in the education route. There are readings which can be very difficult to get through but the professor provides very concise notes on them. I enjoyed this class especially since he is willing to talk about current legal issues and provides extra resources to learn more about them. The final exam was very much what I would expect from a law exam, but if you study his notes for the reading you should be fine. He is also super helpful. I am not a law student but this class really sparked an interest in me to study law.

Winter 2025 - Loved him! Extremely nice professor, if you ever need extension for assignments just ask him, he will extend it with no hesitation. Workload is extremely light, grade consists attendance(30%), a 3 page essay and a final group project. Please take him you will not regret it!
