I really liked this class! The lecture notes were extremely good quality, the professor was kind and clear during class, the homework is only 6 questions a week and felt like a good difficulty, and the tests were fair and what you would expect. It's definitely achievable to get an A in this class, but I trolled on the final and dropped my grade 0_o. Take this professor if you can!
I would definitely take this as your first math upper division if you can. Although it's proof-based it is still manageable. Wern is very clear and especially helpful in her office hours.
This prof is awesome. Very clear lectures that follow directly from the lecture notes. Every topic has a few examples. The discussions meet twice a week and are "mandatory" but in actuality, only the worksheet is mandatory. It can be found online and is graded on completion as far as I can tell. However, anytime I could I went to the discussions as the TAs would walk you through all the problems. 115A is a difficult class, however, not with Yeong. I found the tests to be very easy if you understand the homework and worksheet problems. Note cards are allowed for midterms, and a page is allowed for the final. 10/10 would recommend.
Wern is a very nice professor. She was new this quarter, and it showed in her lectures. However, she did teach the material pretty well and was open to students' feedback.
