Winter 2024 - Dr. Espino is such a good lecturer! I took this class on a whim for UD credit, but I was engaged throughout the quarter. Lecture was super insightful and covered a lot of different topics. If you do the readings, you'll be set pretty much. Discussion sections are designed to pretty much just be TA help on the writing assignments throughout the quarter. Lena (the TA for this class) was an angel and so helpful during discussion! The workload was super manageable and I'm really glad that I took this class.

Fall 2019 - Professor Espino is an amazing professor! She is very clear throughout her lectures and the readings are very simple and easy to understand. She offers several opportunities for extra credit and quickly responds to all emails. Honestly this class is an easy A if you show up and do the work. We had 3 short essays each 3-4 pages long (easy if you've done the readings) and a final which was a 6 page research paper which we worked on throughout the quarter. I highly recommend this class and professor she is super sweet and just wants to make sure that her students learn
