Professor
Vanessa Thulsiraj
Most Helpful Review
Winter 2021 - Although I think Professor Thulsiraj is a nice person, sometimes it seems that she is unsure of what she is lecturing about. This in turn makes the presentations a little confusing. Also, although the tests are manageable, I feel like a lot of the information was not presented in an engaging way. For example, watching a 2 hour lecture on the different cycles where she just lists off the different processes doesn't encourage learning at all. Later, she'll ask questions in different lectures about the cycles like we're supposed to remember the specific cycle she probably lectured on for 30 seconds and is one out of like 20 processes. I appreciate that she did make this class open note, but I just felt that I was memorizing material at times without knowledge of its applications or why we should care.
