I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR.
I truly hate physics with my entire heart. I barely passed 1A and dreaded taking 1B. But the first lecture with him made me feel like I could do this. He is so encouraging, his slides are extremely organized and concise, and meeting him in office hours is helpful. He is everything a professor should be, passionate, concerned about his students, and knowledgable like no other.
His lectures revolve around slides with TONS OF EXAMPLES which i LOVE! Examples are the most effective way for me personally to learn physics. He does each example on the board, answers questions (even if it means repeating himself), and lets you know what will and will not be on exams. He's not going to trick you and dedicates so much to teaching. Tons of handwritten solutions were posted as well as the slides from lecture.
He genuinely made me not completely hate physics and actually have an appreciation for the subject.
This is the first professor I actually felt comfortable asking questions to in office hours (material and grade wise) and made me leave feeling better than when I walked in. I regret not going to his office hours from the beginning. First time a professor didn't make me feel stupid. SUPER RECOMMEND HIM.
--> side note, his homework isn't worth much (5%) but as long as you attempt all the problems, you get full credit.
Professor Peroomian is one of the best professors I've had during my first year at UCLA. He teaches with PowerPoint slides, but he supplements it by using the chalkboard a lot too. He's a very nice professor and legitimately cares about your learning. He also has no problem giving the whole class A's if the whole class has earned that A.
His tests are very straight forward and out of the book. Some of his questions even have the same numbers as the book. Study by re-doing the homework and you'll do well.
Peroomian is one of the best professors I've had at UCLA. He explains topics really well and always gives tons of examples. The midterms are challenging but they definitely cover the important topics. Still, if you want to learn the material, Peroomian is great at helping.
