Professor Fear is such a cool guy. His lectures are intermixed with movie footage and slides. His delightful sense of humor and accent add to this enjoyable course. It's a good historical analysis or humanities GE. Highly recommended.
I highly recommend Fear. He is well prepared when he comes into lectures, has video presentations, and is always friendly to answer questions during lecture. MY ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS CLASS WAS MY TA. I truly believe TA makes a whole difference in affecting your grades. Well to any incoming freshmen that don't know how the TA system works, the TA's are basically the ones giving you the grade.
AND HEAR THIS: DON'T TAKE SCOTT MCDONOUGH. PLEASE. I'm trying to help you. The material of the class wasn't bad. I've read the reader, came in prepared, but what really ticked me off was Scott's grading. I wrote a paper that I spent my whole weekend and gave him my first draft. He gave me a lot of ideas and corrections. I turned it in (by listening to his comments and even after emailing him few times about certain corrections) and he gave my paper a B-. I thought there was something certainly wrong.
