This guy is awesome. Totally easy going, knows everyone's name within a few weeks. The class was really fun, we got to pretend to be members of Congress and just run a mock legislature for most of class every day.
The downside to this class is you have to be in class because there's an assignment due every day and the midterm and final are mostly from lecture. The upside is the assignments are easy and never take more than an hour, plus the class was really interesting.
Take this class, especially if you're into the details of how Congress works and/or want to go into politics.
Unfortunately, I was concurrently enrollled in an EMT course while taking this professor. I really regret doing so. Professor Groseclose was always in a good mood and well prepared to teach his students. He is an easy grader (as long as you put in the effort), gives off a great vibe and just knows a lot about the topic since he worked alongside a politician in Washington. Also, he will never discuss his political views with the class which I think is very respectable. He is one of the last, great professors in the public education system. If you get the chance, take him!!
