A terrific class to tkae for any theater student. Helps you find the "truth" in comedy. Vaudeville has never been zanier! Tom taught me a world of theater in one quarter than anyone ahs taught me in years. If you can take any of his classes. If he's not offering one Trick him into starting one!

Fall 2018 - Honestly, this is one of the only useful classes I've taken in TFT. There's not tests, no homework, no quizzes, no grading outside of participation. So there's just life. You spend an hour and a 15 mins running around being a kid. Tom Orth talks about working in the industry and occasionally gives some really insightful information. It's hard to tell if he's always telling the truth. He's really talented. He once gave a monologue in class that I swore was a real monologue, but then later found out it was an improv. Avalon Penrose and I almost took this class together at the same time before we met. This class is like a ritual tradition for any actor to go through. Some people take this class four times just because it's one of the best ways to get 2 upper division units in the best way possible. You learn how to move freely, sing/speak freely, and improv freely. You also got to learn how do some tumbling in the class which was really cool. I wish more TFT classes were like this. Tom Orth is a legend.
