Teo is incredibly funny and witty and makes you feel like a friend, not just a student. He makes sure you stay on top of your work but gives very little overall. He hosted a great fiat lux seminar. I almost wish he was a little more strict; his policies generally allowed for you to slack on the class and not engage as much as you could. You only have one presentation for a set number of chapters in the book. I would definitely take another one of his seminars just to hear more of his jokes and try and dedicate myself a little more than I did before.

By far my favorite class at UCLA thus far. Teo is such an amazing lecturer and person. Our class was on Social World of Jane Austen: Pride and Prejudice, my favorite book. I had read it twice before but he was able to breakdown each social interaction and unleash an entirely new plane of thought each week. If you're a freshman, I cannot recommend taking one of Teo's Fiat Lux's enough.

GOD TAKE THIS CLASS! It is so engaging and so fun! I absolutely adore Teo. He brings Pride and Prejudice to life. I loved analyzing this book and reading it with this class. Pride and Prejudice is such a comfort book for me and this class made it ten times better.

Teofilo is a very warm and passionate professor. In this Fiat Lux, you take the bus to different parts of downtown Los Angeles. A good way to make new friends and get an introduction to the city if you're a freshman.
