This class was disorganized and it felt like a waste of time sometimes. We met every other week for lectures which consisted of the same material over and over again after the third meeting. The class really just consisted of looking at the findings from Loeb's own research and was quite repetitive. Then, we split into groups and wrote an op-ed article about some facet of the class to submit to the Daily Bruin or some other publication. If you're specifically interested in research relating to internet access as a human right, this class might be for you, but there wasn't much stimulating discussion built into each class. Mostly, Loeb would lecture for about an hour, ask for questions, and then we'd break for group work time. It may have been more interesting if we approached the issue from multiple different angles, but overall it was pretty flat. At the end of the class we presented our research and writing in a 15-minute presentation.
