This was probably the easiest, most straightforward class I've taken at UCLA. This is definitely Bianchi's field of interest and it was evident from her lectures that she's very passionate & knowledgeable about gender issues in the workplace. There were a few very simple short papers, a midterm, & a final which I found to be a breeze. Lectures were interesting & interactive and Bianchi was very interested in hearing about students' experiences and opinions--definitely accepting of all views. Even though I felt like I already learned learned a lot about these issues, I walked away feeling that I had a very comprehensive understanding of why there is an earnings gap between men & women (one of the major themes of the course which we studied through a variety of topics).
