The prof is really nice, but this class was so disorganized. Nothing was uploaded to the assignments tab on canvas, and you had to check the syllabus every day to see when something was due. The whole process of figuring out what was due when, and how we were supposed to submit it was incredibly time consuming. That's what all the conversations in the groupme centered around. The papers weren't too bad, and the prof was really sweet and accommodating. She just had trouble figuring out the technology.
Her class was one of the most disorganized classes that I have taken at UCLA. She always was late to every class session and traffic was always her excuses. The class consists of a lot of readings, for example, 60 pages of a story was due in a day and she wants a lot of discussions in her class since she does not have anything to teach. She sometimes asks questions in the class that never was in her readings. Moreover, she is not helpful at all. I sent my essay three times for her to look at it, but I never did get any feedback. She is very hard in her grading.
Dr Drissi is an excellent professor who made lectures fun and let us have interesting topics to write about. For my final paper, she even allowed me to write about the Disney film Tangled, which actually made the writing fun. She does not ask a lot of her students other than to show up for class having read our required reading and participate in class discussions. She always makes herself available during office hours and give multiple opportunities for extra credit, which I should have done since it would have let me have an A. Overall, a funny and awesome professor who made writing fun!
