I took Econ 107 with Prof Ozler.

Her lectures were disorganized, and her test were absolutely horrific. Why would u test people on lists and pure memorization from little details that she never really specified.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS, IF YOU ARE THEN DROP IT FOR UR GPA.

This is the first review I have ever written for a prof and honestly she is the worst one I have had in all of my time at UCLA (I am a graduating senior). I got a B+ on the midterm but that was only because the curve was so horrendous and the material crammable that I scraped by. During lectures all she would do was read off the powerpoint slides she essentially copy and pasted from our book--or wrote her own analysis which was barely proper English and so convoluted I ended up googling most of the concepts on Wikipedia. She did post study questions, although many of the questions on the exam were not related to them at all. She never emphasized the importance of one concept over another and the material was so extensive that it is impossible to learn every single tiny postulate she wanted memorized.

Not only were her lectures unclear, but for the final, there was a typo in one of the equations and rather than correcting it on the board, the TA's decided to make it part of the exam--an idea that inspired outrage and frustration in most of the students. The directions on the exam were also misleading because they emphasized writing concepts out in detail, yet a TA told me I was writing too much even though I was using the PROVIDED extra scratch paper in the exam. Let me remind you, this was mid-way through the test. Of course, Ozler was not present for the final, which didn't really make much of a difference since she was useless in the context of teaching this class anyways.

The curve is ridiculous and you might end up with an ok grade, but suffering through the frustration and confusion this professor inspires is not worth it. Choose a different upper div econ class...trust me.
