Professor Brown was a very kind and considerate professor. He was VERY accommodating to students amidst the COVID pandemic and the BLM movement as he made adjustments to the midterms and final exam. He was very clear and concise in lecturings and would never let a question go unanswered. He would stay 10-15 mins after class to have students ask questions! He truly cared about his students and wanted us to succeed and it clearly reflected in his teachings and during the lectures.
Stuart is one of the few STEM professors I've had who actually seems to care about the students and their understanding of the material as well as their mental health. He was so accommodating and thoughtful. He also offered as many possible ways to get credit on tests (even if your answer was wrong you could get lots of credit from showing work). He was genuinely the sweetest prof. Also, this class was similar to high school physics (not even AP) so it's pretty doable!
Prof Brown was one of the most accommodating professors I had during the COVID emergency. He was flexible with his exams although they were challenging at points everyone in the class did very well. He described problems that we did in class very well and made sure that everyone understood how things worked before he moved on. During the end of the quarter when the Black Lives Matter movement started to gain speed he altered our final exam to make it less of a burden on us. Prof Brown is overall very kind, understanding, and I can tell he wants to see his students succeed in his class.
