Fall 2024 - We had multiple assignments due every class, none of which are too hard to complete but it can definitely take some time. There were 3 essays, 4 quizzes, and a final presentation in addition to the regular homework. I overall enjoyed my time in this class. I feel like it was a good environment to strengthen some of the fundamental skills of speaking and writing in Spanish.

Fall 2024 - I ended up taking this class just for fun and I loved it so much. It's a smaller class size so you really get to build a connection with the professor. Kip was super fun and had interesting essay assignments. Overall, really helpful to strengthen some of my weaker skills in Spanish, especially because I hadn't written essays in a while. Only con was VHL but I've hated that system for the many years I've taken Spanish. I would say also if you were a native speaker or have studied for many years, Span 27 may be a better option because I felt at times we went over very simple grammar.

Winter 2019 - I took this class as an undeclared major not sure if I would want to be a Spanish major, and it cleared a few thing up for me. Overall this class was pretty straightforward and clear but was not as engaging as I would have hoped; but that may have just been because my class was low energy. Professor Tobin is very well prepared for class and very well organized, my only criticism is that I wish he would have made class dialogue more required because I don't feel that I actually spoke that much Spanish. However, I left class with a very concrete understanding of writing in Spanish which is the main point of the class. Would surely recommend this class and professor to anyone looking to do a major or minor in Spanish.
