Evalv for LS 2:

Schein rushes through a lot of his lectures, and when he's short on time, he will practically have a speed race with himself to see how fast he can read the words off the slides and hit the "next" button. Don't expect to learn a lot in class, so make sure you read the book. Midterms were pretty hard, I'd say; we would have to know very particular details about the systems, and even when I felt fully prepared for them, I would look at his questions and be confused...He was also a bit of a creep when dealing with girls, so beware.

Overall, try to avoid Schein for LS2 if you can, but if you have to take him, then be prepared to work hard.

Addressing the idiot below:

Schein is NOT A NICE GUY. He is a total dick. And you said "he likes to learn the names of girls, which is cool". I take it that YOU ARE A GIRL YOURSELF. It pisses off all the guys cause professors always show favoritism to girls. But I'm sure the reviewer below only gets their grades like that. And he normalized for differences in the grading of TAs. You got 0/8.1 points cause you had an EASY JOKE TA, like Asif. You deserve 0 pts. For the rest of us in hard sections with bitch TAs, we should have gotten waaaay more points. So the reviewer below is a moron who has no idea and deserves the poor grade they got.

HOWEVER, schein is a VERY BAD LS2 PROF AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS.
