Quarter: Fall 2024
Grade: A

Professor Narasimhan deserves far more recognition than some of the reviews here suggest. While I can see how others might feel he leans more toward the theoretical side, I believe his material is thoughtfully structured to be directly applicable to engineering problems. He has a remarkable ability to make challenging Structural Dynamics concepts feel intuitive and engaging. His teaching style is practical, he is approachable, and his expertise in the subject is undeniable. What truly sets him apart is his patience—he never makes you feel bad for struggling with even the simplest topics. The homework assignments, while challenging, were carefully designed to guide you through the lecture notes (accompanied by a free, well-crafted LaTeX textbook) and help solidify your understanding of the essential concepts. Overall, an outstanding professor!

Quarter: Winter 2024
Grade: C+

Do not take a class with this professor. He is really passionate about what he teaches but is so bad at teaching. No one in the class had any idea what we're learning the entire quarter. His organization in the class is very poor. Homework is so confusing. The work and stress given from this 2 unit class is absurd.
