Try to avoid this professor if you want to maintain your GPA. She curves the class by putting everyone in a rank and give the first 25% an A. Basically curving down your grade. The final was 60% and was very hard, nothing like her practice finals. You can only guarantee good grades by not making any mistakes.

Overall: definitely agree with other comments saying her lecture examples don't prepare you for the exams. Homework problems are much closer to the level of difficulty to expect on the exams. Doing and understanding all the hw problems, along with studying the previous midterms and finals she provides is the key.

class structure: no mandatory attendance, weekly hw problem set (graded on completion), midterm and final were the only exams. no group work. You don't need to buy the textbook for the class or any math hw software (bye bye cengage), which is nice for the wallet. She allowed a cheat sheet for both exams.

lectures: definitely dry and slow going. the last half of lectures were rushed through, which sucks because that was some of the most complicated material.

Professor: Honestly, I didn't have any problems with the professor herself. She's incredibly patient and helpful, and will go over a problem as many times as you need. It's just a matter of asking for help. even though her lectures weren't really engaging, the professor's helpfulness during office hours makes up for it.

Content: there isn't too much calc involved, the problems requiring knowledge of derivatives and integrals are pretty simple, so you don't have to remember trig sub or anything. Homework is definitely difficult but prepares you for the exam. taking a stats class before, or even AP Stats is definitely helpful but not necessary.
