When I first got into this class I was disappointed that I had to take EngComp 2, but Professor Crosby really made this class fun and interesting for me. He encouraged my writing skills and brought back the love I had for writing. I would say overall the class is pretty easy. Each week there are short story articles that you will need to read and answer questions but they aren't difficult once you get the hang of it. Also, each time you meet up for class, it is basically a class discussion on the articles you read for homework that is due the day before class. There was one specific class that he introduced "talk tickets" which basically makes you participate in class discussion, but it wasn't hard at all and he gives you a lot of opportunities to speak in other class days too. The main part of the whole class that leads to the final is writing a personal narrative story of yourself. The personal narrative story consists of multiple drafts and parts in which Crosby will explain throughout the process. It will basically be your personal story alongside two peer reviewed research articles that you will infuse into your personal story. Personally the hardest part of this class was just deciding what story I wanted to write about because it had to be about you. Other than that, as long as you follow Crosby's instructions and edit the parts he tells you to edit, you will do fine one the final. I highly recommend Professor Crosby's class and although I dread having to take english, I learned a lot in this class in which I found to be helpful.
