The content of this class is interesting and useful, but the teaching of this professor needs serious improvement. Despite having some coding experience, my friend and I find it hard to follow along with Burnett's explanations in this class. She spends a disproportionate amount of time explaining concepts that could be understood in 5 minutes, while not explaining the basic fundamental syntax/concepts that we as beginners need to know. I would appreciate it if she can tell us what a thing is and what purposes it serves before jumping straight to examples. I find the slides of the previous instructor, which are also provided, more informative. The instructions for homework can also be clearer as there are a lot of grey areas. Overall, I would say that this class is indeed useful and relatively easy, but the delivery of the content makes learning a little frustrating. I recommend using some other sources to learn HTML and JavaScript.

I feel like this class is very useful and Professor Burnett is extremely helpful and cares a lot about her students. And so does Kye if he's your TA. I was doing pretty well in the class and had an A until I took the final in which I actually got an F on which was pretty unfortunate and dropped my grade to a B. The final is a practical timed exam that combines all the course concepts. There's no group work allowed in the class which is different from other PIC classes.

Professor Burnett is absolutely amazing! She is the best PIC professor I've ever had. She explains the course concepts super clearly and is willing to support her students in learning both in-class and outside of class. I'm so glad that I took this class with Professor Burnett because she made it so interesting to learn about web programming. I'm always excited to go to class and listen to her live lectures. I love how the assignments connect throughout the quarter, and we'll be able to assemble them into a full project by the end of the quarter. The exam was very fair; it was not too hard but still thoroughly tested our understanding of the materials we've learned in class. Overall, I really love the class and appreciate the hard work that Professor Burnett has put into teaching this class.
