Fall 2022 - Wong is a great professor. He uses a slide deck which is super helpful in my opinion because you can go back and look at his annotated slides to see how he explains each concept. The midterms were pretty challenging and honestly can really very. I did really well on the first (97.5) and then tanked the second (75), but your grade is so spread out on group quizzes your guaranteed to get 100% on, problem sets that aren't that hard and just require thoughtful explanations, and he even has multiple grading schemes to help get you the best grade. Compared to other 32A professors, Wong is a godsend, and I would totally take him again.

Fall 2022 - - wonderful prepare for upper division proof-based class: you'll learn how to write rigorous and fluent proofs, and you'll get in touch with some comparatively advanced theories - much less tedious practices than regular lower division classes - each homework only consists of <=6 pretty easy problems and is graded on completion - if you're not good at taking exams, then take this class! Midterms only count 12% each, and the final exam only counts 22% -- all graded leniently. Our TA, Nicholas, is a strict grader on quizzes, but the exams and challenge reports raise the final grade significantly. Dr. Wong and our TA are super patient, supportive, and caring. They really hope you can understand all concepts. Also, the classmates are all smart and interesting people to study together and ace this course. After all, this class is amazing. Don't miss it if you're interested in math.

Spring 2023 - 32B is considered one of the hardest lower div math classes here at UCLA. I would even say it's the hardest computational lower div math class. It really has nothing to do with the professor. The class content was just hard. The class is consisted of 2 midterms, weekly discussion quizzes, and 2 challenge reports. The weekly discussion quizzes are group quizzes, so you collaborate with other students to do it. Getting a good group with collaborative people was really important to get full score on the quizzes (or just pray one of the group mates knows everything and can carry everyone else lol). The challenge reports are usually longer problems where you have to do textbook style write-ups. Just explain your answers with detailed words and say why you did so and so. Usually, getting full score on challenge reports are pretty easy. You are also encouraged to use resources including the textbook, lecture notes, other students, the TA and the prof (just cite where you got your information at the end). Overall, I think this class is alright. I definitely spent a LOT of time studying for the final and I didn't particularly like how homework was not required. You are still encouraged to do it but you just don't have to turn it in. There was just no motivation for all of us to do them so we missed a lot of practice opportunities.

Winter 2023 - Dr. Wong is the best math teacher i've had at ucla! I think its worth the harder tests and challenge problem reports because you'll have a better understanding of the material overall. I found this class difficult but office hours were helpful and overall really interesting!
