Took 133 last quarter and I have to say, it turned out to be one of the most interesting classes ever. The lectures were amazing and included lots of real life examples. Walter is not arrogant or anything as many mentioned, he is just happy with his profession, job, and where he is in his life. He is also very respectful toward his students. Loved the class. Recommend it to everyone.
I have completed this course with much dismay. While we were told our work was not graded but our overall grade would come simply from completing all assignments, I did not find this to be the case. I completed all work on time and had positive feedback from all of it, yet I received a B for this class. I have attempted to contact my TA to find out how my grade was calculated, to no avail. 4 emails have gone out to her and not once has she responded.
Aside from that, the professor is an interesting character. I have no doubt that he knows his stuff and he seems to be available even after the class is over for those of you interested in a serious attempt at screenwriting. With that said, there seemed to be a disconnect from lecture to discussion, but with a good TA you should have no problem.
