Professor Sharrah is awesome. Like someone below expressed, this is how I expect a class is conducted when a professor can actually teach and cares about their students-- something that is all too uncommon at UCLA. She's super clear about everything, extremely helpful, and an awesome communicator. Class is very straightforward with really only two large assignments, while the rest of the assignments are weekly discussion posts, creative in nature, or revisions of previous works. She's very, very clear about what you need to do to get an A. I highly recommend taking this course with her.
Rhonda is awesome. First Professor I’ve had at UCLA that actually seems to have their sh*t together and care (that’s sad, but true). It was nice coming to class everyday knowing that each class followed a concerted plan, would be engaging, and clear. Her grading policy is awesome and she’s an awesome communicator. Assignments consisted of 2 weekly “discussion posts”, 2 papers, a revision on a previous paper, a creative project, and 2 reflections on previous assignments. It sounds like a lot when I outline it, but each assignment feels pretty intuitive and the prof. is flexible with due dates, helpful, and not a harsh grader at all. If you have to take a writing II course I definitely recommend this class with Sharrah.
Ms.Sharrah was delightful to work with. Her class is designed for students to improve their writing. For someone like me who has had more writing experience, Ms.Sharrah was happy to give more critical feedback. If you, as a student, go the extra mile, she will be right by your side.
