Fall 2024 - Professor Foote is so kind and genuinely enjoys what she teaches. She offers extra credit for attending poetry workshops or events, she is very understanding if you communicate with her, and she is so open to feedback (last day of class was set to give her any and all feedback). She doesn't use slides and her lectures are very much discussion based, but because it is poetry you are never wrong. She creates a wonderful safe space in her class that people who are scared to participate feel very comfortable to do so. She is very soft spoken and it is clear that she has just began teaching at this level, but she is already one of the better English professors I have taken at UCLA and I would recommend her!
