Winter 2017 - Professor Rocco is very nice and cares about learning. He can be strict about tardiness and using your phone/laptop but its because he cares. There are quizzes every two weeks but they're really easy: just do the readings and he gives you the questions before hand so you just have to look out for the answers. the readings are really really good and interesting. no exam - just a final paper that is worth like 60% of your grade. pretty easy if you do the readings and attend class. straightforward.

Class 113 poli First, of all! This is not at easy class requires lots of analysis. In my perspective, he is the MOST AMAZING PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER Taken!!!! He cares about every one not only Hispanics!!!! The material yes it is dry, but only to those students who want an easy grade! Don't want to put an effort !! And who just don't give a crap about political organizing!! I love this class I love it so much that I will take it again not for credit but to learn about how he dominant culture has opposed those who are inferior !!!!'Wake up people not all in life is about memorizing and taking an test! This class is not like that doesn't require u to memorize but to know how to analyze Marcuse, Freire, and Gramsci!! He is an intense professor!! I do say that but he had been through a lot in the poli Sci department as he only Hispanic professor! His intense personality might be scary, but I trust me there is a good reason for it !
