The class itself is extremely boring. He reads off the lectures and drives everyone asleep in 20 minutes. Only by telling little anecdotes about himself he is able to draw the attention of the crowd.
The class also demands students to purchase an account from McGraw-Hill, which costs about $100. It is mandatory, as you need to do the homework online. The homework is not like the exams at all and people struggle for filling out the right numbers instead of really applying the formula.
The exams are fair but you don’t really have a lot of similar problems to practice. If you want to self-study then this is probably a choice. But if you want you tuition to bring you a good experience, don’t take him.
Professor Rojas prepares very good slides and delivers lectures in an easy-to-follow way. I like how he uses markers of different colors for lecture notes. Econ 106V is not hard, but actually fun and beneficial, if you take this class with Professor Rojas! Highly recommended!! :) P.S. Attending lectures is very important as he will walk you through the slides and concepts.
