Very clear lectures and straight forward hw/midterm/final.
You only need basica knoweldge of statistics and barely any economics to understand the materials to do well in this class.
The homework problems are based solely on her lectures, which is very similar to her exam questions.
great teacher!
Professor Giacomini is AMAZING! She is by far the best professor I've ever had in my life and I feel so lucky to have had such an inspirational person as my teacher. She is extremely clear and her lectures are great because you leave the class knowing the material and she makes econometrics interesting. I was really scared to take this class because of all the rumors, but it turned out to be my favorite class (no joke)! Professor Giacomini is really nice, she writes her own homeworks and tests and she really wants you to understand the core of econometrics. She doesn't test you on proofs and formulas you'll never use-but instead tests you on the key aspects of econometrics. Take her if you have the chance-you won't be sorry!
Great professor. If all professors taught like this, school would be much more useful and much simpler.
She wastes no time showing us arcane derivations of formulas. Rather, she shows you how to use these tools.
I feel as though I learned tons of useful information in this class that I will be able to apply in real life.
Homeworks are a little tricky but not too bad.
Midterm and final are straightforward.
Take this professor if you have the chance! You will a lot and get a good grade!
Very good professor. Her lectures are perpared well and she doesn't mind taking time to answer questions. Even then, we always get out of class 10-20 minutes early. She doesn't go into detailed theories, but she teaches us all we need to know about doing econometrics in real life. Her exams are really easy (you can say too easy), and are extremely similar to the homework. The homework itself isn't hard either. Just like everyone else, I highly recommanded her!
