I took this class to apply towards my international development major though I am also an economics double major. I would say this may have just been because I studied economics but this class felt like an insult to my intelligence, or just the intelligence of a college student. I've heard Public Affairs is an easy major but this class just blew me away, I can't believe this is considered college level.

The professor was nice but almost too nice to his students, I remember him inviting students up to the board to draw things like supply and demand graphs and spending weeks teaching this same concept. Its two lines . . . so yeah, if you don't know anything about economics or want to take an easy class, this is for you. I imagine it may be interesting for people who are interested in these topics and have no background knowledge.

Jisung is one of my all-time favorites. He is a kind, compassionate person, and he is incredibly intelligent and personable.
Expect this class to focus more on the social issues than on the in-depth economics, although problem sets are regularly assigned that do focus on econ stuff. The social issues (for us climate change and inequality) were addressed as they relate to economics through readings, lectures, and class projects. The "final" was a group project, where we presented an in-depth economic analysis of a single issue within one of those broader two issues.
I learned a lot and enjoyed every class I went to!
