Definitely one of the better econ profs I have had at UCLA. His midterm and final were fairly difficult but he prepared you well for them by giving you plenty of study material. Unlike a lot of economics profs, the material on exams closely resmebled material on homeworks and past exams. He is obviously concerned with student learning and has done lots of interesting research. IF you dont mind doing lots of algebra, i highly recommend him.
