Overall this is a great class to take. I'm not from Earth Science department so I have no knowledge about anything related to geochemistry. However, I did learn so many chemistry that is not emphasized or discussed in other classes like the application of isotopes, water chemistry, rare earth elements, etc. Professor Ni is very knowledgable and he explains everything clearly. Strongly recommends going to the office hour which professor goes through all the questions from homework. Grade distribution: HW 40%, midterm 25%, final 35%. Not too difficult to get a good grade if you go to the lectures and understands the important contents from the slides, but definitely still needs to put some effort.
