Probably the best professor on campus. He himself is a real estate practitioner, so when he tells you something its important and has real life implications. If you want to learn finance, which UCLA is not big on, take his class. If you want to know the basics of purchasing a home, take his class. If you want an escape from your meaningless theoretical economics courses take his class. Bottom line, this is THE class to take as a UCLA undergrad. Do not take it from anyone else, Habibi is the man!

by FARRRR the most knowledgeable professor on campus!! He is a MASTER of his craft... ALWAYS available, BEST lecturer, ask him any question regarding real estate and he will have an answer for you on the SPOT.

There were 3 homework assignments.. they weren't that bad... 3 Harvard case studies, a group project, and a midterm and final.... you WANT to do the work, because it will help you so much in the future when you want to invest in real estate or purchase a home!

this guy knows what he is talking about.... trust... if you can.. take this class.

I took Real Estate Investment with him and simply put- it was AMAZING. I feel lucky that I enrolled in this class. Professor Habibi is by far the most knowledgeable, approachable, and kind professor that I have had. He is also so funny in class that it makes the time fly by and helps you pay attention to everything he says. He is extremely considerate, and always welcoming students to ask questions and come into office hours. He accommodates the pace of the class. If you feel uncomfortable about something, he will patiently re-explain. He is honestly a wonderful professor, and this class is one that you will always remember! It's so rare to find a class that you look forward to, but this sure was one of those! Take it, take it, take it.

Professor Habibi's class was, by far, the most practical course I have taken in my life. As a passionate academic, I particularly enjoyed how he couples pragmatic, “real-life” examples with a scholastic environment to form a course that everyone loves.

If you want a taste for what the real world has to offer after college, I highly recommend this class. He is always available to help (or even just casually talk to) his students.

This class was by far the BEST class I have taken here at UCLA. The material is interesting and PRACTICAL in terms of real world applications. He shows you what it takes to make money in Real Estate. As far as difficulty, Habibi breaks down the material and makes it easy to understand, which in turn makes the class very easy if you pay attention. The workload is on the lighter side of mgmt courses; there are a couple homework assignments, case studies, exams and a feasibility study. Exams are straightforward and have strong similarities with the homework.

Habibi is always there for students and encourages office hours to answer any questions (school, career or to casually talk to) and to clear up the material. His lectures are entertaining (he adds personality to a normally boring subject) while informative, as he is incredibly knowledgeable to the subject. HE WANTS STUDENTS TO LEARN. He even has is own teacher evaluations that he personally reads, types ups and analyses in the very next class. What other professor does that??

This is what all college courses should be like. You already pay a crapload of tuition, take advantage of classes like this!

It's true. The course is very practical and the guy teaches you the material effectively. However, just like many other accounting lecturers, I found him to be a big FAKE. He has that typical businessman friendly face during classes, but you will find out what I mean when you actually get to talk to him one to one. Unless you are a Persian guy in a fraternity or a pretty looking girl, you are likely to get cold responses as my friend and I did.

Prof Habibi is one of the most concerned professors that I have met. What blew my mind was that he had us evaluate him as a professor half-way through the course through a survey. And he actually shared with us what he has to improve on as a professor and what students were complaining about. TAKE HIS CLASS BEFORE YOU LEAVE UCLA.

Contrary to what one review said, Habibi does not have "favorites" in class. He makes jokes in class and makes fun of persians, but this does not mean he is fake or has preferences over students. If anything, he's comfortable to poke fun at his own culture. And I am not persian either.
