Professor Greene is so passionate about teaching and it really shows in her lectures. She is such a quirky, fun person who really cares about her students. Her lectures are well paced and really help ingrain mathematical concepts. Not to mention, she is extremely generous with the grading scheme of both 3A and 3B. If you tank one of the midterms but do well on the final, she'll drop that midterm and just give the final more weight. The weight of the class is also evenly distributed with homework, Wiley Plus, and attendance in discussion. She will also drop your two lowest homeworks. Greene is not about tricking students either; what you see in class is what will be tested on. She even gives practice tests that are practically identical to the exams. Even with all of these resources, you can go to office hours and she will be more than happy to directly address any concerns or questions you may have. The TA's Jeremy, Sudesh, and Yacoub are all great! Just don't get Khang. But if you do get Khang and discussion is optional, don't go because it'll do more harm than you not being there LOL.

I retook math 3B and compared to the one of the math prof for 3b in winter quarter she is literally the best. She explains the material in detail and is very approachable. She has tons of office hours and the TAs for the class are also really helpful too, so don't feel nervous or discouraged after a test to go and ask for help. The TAs hosted a couple of review sessions that were a little harder than what was on the actual exam but it'll make you know the material for sure. And she will always have extra practice problems or practice exams that are similar to the actual exam. She has two different grading schemes that will give you the higher grade and she curves pretty generously too. Overall, take Greene!!

I took 3A with Greene and I did so much better, but not for 3B. The tests became much harder, the lectures became more confusing, and I did much worse in the class. Still very nice and funny! Hoping 3C goes better for me!

Everyone will tell you about how amazing Greene is, and I do agree somewhat - she is an excellent professor who cares about her students more than almost any other professor on campus. Greene is a good professor for someone who struggles with math or never took calculus because she takes things pretty slow.
However, her class will seem easy to you and then once you get to the midterms you will realize that there is no room for error at all. If you make even one mistake on the midterm, you're most likely dropping a full grade on it. The final was much harder than the rest of the course, and it didn't feel like there was enough time to study for it.
Overall, though, Greene is definitely the best professor for 3A and 3B, so try to get into her class.

She's helpful. I just wish the TAs would have more office hours. I did pretty bad on the first midterm and alright on the 2nd midterm. The final is what killed me and I thought I was prepared for it but I guess not. But her exams were fair I guess I just didn't prepare fully.
3B is harder than 3A so don't slack off just because you got a 5 on your AP calc exam and you think math is a joke. The only thing that'll be a joke after you take classes lightly is your GPA.

Greene was the best math lecturer I've had at UCLA. She is super clear and really teaches math the best especially since I didn't take calc in high school. She goes at a really good pace and her tests are fair. GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS

Reviews of Greene tend to be very polarizing. You either like her or you hate her. Here are the pros and cons

Pros
-Not too much homework
-She's really nice overall
-She posts lecture notes online
-Great office hours
-She teaches things very slowly which can be good or bad

Cons
-Her tests are out of a little points, out of 40. Making even one mistake will probably drop you to an A- or B+ which kinda sucks.
-No curve
-I hate the Adler textbook
-Teaching style. It's slow which some people dislike, but some people really appreciate.
-No dropping midterms! If you screw up once, it can be very costly.
-She has special directions for doing hw in her format which gets annoying

Overall I like her as a professor, but I'm a bit disappointed with my grade so far because I really knew the material, but made a small mistake which dropped me to a B+ on the first midterm. I can't drop the midterm so I'm stuck trying to climb my way back up.
