(For some context: I never took calculus in high school) Professor Greene is extremely accommodating and kind. She provides plenty of opportunities for students to receive help and always notifies her students beforehand of any updates or changes she makes to assignments. She is also very understanding and really tries to connect with her students. With that being said, this is definitely a class you need to study for daily. The course moves quickly and you cover a lot of content in 10 weeks, but she provides ample amount of resources for you to learn. There are a few long assignments due weekly, but they really help solidify the content you learn that week. Overall, Professor Greene is amazing and I am so happy I took her for my first math class at UCLA.

Let me tell y'all. I would NEVER recommend her for anyone who hasn't already taken AP Calculus AB and understood the concepts. I went in knowing little-to-nothing, with only a background in pre calculus, and went out of the class knowing little to nothing. Do NOT take this class unless you already know calculus.

Hi, I took Dr. Greene's class as a freshman, and to be honest, this class was mostly a review for me since I took AP Calculus AB back in high school. However, there are one or two concepts (I believe) that the UCLA curriculum teaches that are not part of the collegeboard/AP calc AB exam. All in all, I would say that Dr. Greene is a really nice professor and she is very straight forward as a lecturer. However, there are some concepts where she is not clear with her explanations and the "why we do this step" factor for some problems, but you can always show up to her office hours where she will reteach you the concept in a much slower pace and she'll actually do problems with you! She was willing to look over my homework answers and pinpoint any small mistakes I have made haha. She is actually one of the most caring and sweetest professor I have ever had, she will put an effort in getting to know you and she'll try to remember your name. One thing about this class is that it is not on bruincast, homework is due at the beginning of lecture every Friday, and during discussions, she makes the TAs hand out work sheets with extra practice problems. All in all, she provides many resources for her students to pass and do well.

Professor Greene was extremely caring about her students and always had a positive attitude. She offers lots of office hours and brings in learning assistants too so it was easy to find someone to answer a question or help with the homework. The homework can take a long time some weeks but the exams are really straightforward if you take her practice tests. If math isn't your strong suit she's a great professor to have!
