Winter 2021 - Professor Abari does not have a mean bone in his body. He is so extremely kind and knowledgeable on the topics. The class has somewhat of a higher than average learning curve, but once you got it, it was fairly straightforward and logical. I think Professor Abari did too good of a job, though. I think everyone did well so I'm expecting some sort of grade deflation unfortunately. We will see (I really hope not). Overall, if you have the opportunity to take any class with professor Abari, take it. He is excited about the topics, and that kind of energy translates into the students as well. I only wish I could've taken the course in person.

Fall 2023 - This course covers a lot of aspects of wireless and mobile system design. Professor Abari is very knowledgeable in this area and can explain these notions clearly. However, if you haven't taken any signal processing (which is more important) or computer networking courses, some of the lectures might be hard for you. We have 3 homework, 1 midterm and the final project. The midterm is not very tough if you understand the materials well. The homework and final project can be done in group. And in Fall 2023, you can also choose to find a topic in this area that interests you and do a survey instead of doing a project. If you do so, the overall workload for this course is not too high.
