really sweet professor. only hard part is you have to memorize your speeches and present them to the class. but you can make them on anything.

Professor Arbabzadah has such a deep understanding of what she teaches that it makes it so enjoyable to hear her speak.
Though I loved going to her lectures, it is very manageable to skip and still do good on the exams as she uploads slides for every lecture.
A downside is that her content may be just a little confusing at times. She might not be clear on what the exam entails, or she might display information in a super confusing and contradicting manner.
However, the class is easy. She goes over any required reading in class, the exams are super simple, and the workload is very minimal (three exams, 33% each).

Professor Nushin’s class has definitely been my favorite class at UCLA so far. I really feel like I became more of a confident and articulate speaker given all the practice that was offered in her class. The class contains of 3 speeches, and you can talk about whatever you want on them which I thought made the class very fun. But, the class doesn’t consist of just speeches, it also consists of a lot of talking and a lot of participation. Additionally, Professor Nushin is very nice and sweet, but isn’t nice and sweet when it comes down to people flaking on the class; she hates the flakes! One thing I found really helpful about this class was not only the relationships I built with my classmates and the professor because it was so small, but also the feedback I received from them when I practiced my speaking. I definitely recommend you take this class with Professor Nushin, because she is outstanding!

This class was particularly engaging. The professor always made it a point to make sure that we were comfortable both in the class and with our classmates. it was really easy to understand the principles of communication and we were only graded on 3 speeches and participation. Note: make sure to turn in your outline and pay attention to all feedback. Also, make save to practice your speeches outloud, its better with a classmate because they also know exactly what the professor wants
