Just got my grade for this class. Hands down one of the easiest classes I've taken at UCLA. All you need to do to get an A is memorize the lecture slides a day or two before the midterms/final and you'll be gold. I stopped going to lecture after the first 2 weeks, and ended up getting an A+. Class is easy, prof seemed nice, and discussion is a breeze.
The best Psych prof i have ever had at UCLA! i just had my final today but it was definitely trickier than her two midterms. Overall, i really enjoyed this class! Seriously, she is the best PSYCH prof by far at the UCLA psych dept.
Professor Delafield was a wonderful and effective lecturer, and made class time well worth the while. Overall, this is a very straightforward class - if you study the lecture slides in detail and pay some attention to the book, there is no reason you shouldn't get an A. Highly recommended!
Psych 130 wasn't listed for some Excellent teacher in every respect. She is enthusiastic about her lectures and is very knowledgeable on the subject matter. Her tests were primarily from the lectures so if you pay attention in class you should do fine but if you want that A - read.
Professor Delafield is legit. Her lectures were interesting and she was nice. Before taking this class I had no interest in development, now I'm thinking of exploring the field. The grading is based off of 2 midterms (lowest score dropped), one final, and discussion section. If you go to section and participate, then you'll get most of the points. Her exams aren't too difficult just pay attention and study the slides.
Professor Delafield was one of the best professors I have ever taken at UCLA. Definitely take her class! She is very passionate about developmental psychology and she makes her lectures interesting and fun. Overall, the class is not difficult. As long as you pay attention to lecture and study her notes, you should do very well on her exams. I learned so much from her class and she is extremely nice and approachable. You will not regret taking her class.
really great teacher. she really wants her students to understand what she's teaching. she's great during office hours. there is a very short paper in discussion and you get points just for attending discussion. tests are not hard at all and despite the fact that she stresses how important the information in the book is for the test, i didn't open the book once all quarter and still got an A.
Nim is a great lady. She's really nice, her lectures are interesting, and you can tell she really knows what she is talking about when it comes to developmental Psych. She isr really passionate about this field and is able to give great examples from her experience raising her children to make it real. She's also super hot, which made it a little easier to get up for lecture at 8AM. I highly recommend taking this class with Tottenham.
