As a student who was initially unfamiliar with the world of performance art, I found Professor Whitfield's class to be an enlightening and transformative experience. His approach to teaching is very clear and his patient explanations made the more complex concepts of performance art more accessible and understandable. The class structure included free writing assignments, which allowed for a free flow of exploration of ideas without the pressure of harsh grading. Professor Whitfield's generous grading approach not only fostered a supportive learning environment but also encouraged students to take risks and experiment. His ability to make performance art accessible to students, regardless of their prior exposure to the field, is a testament to his skill as an educator. Professor Whitfield's class was an incredibly unique and valuable experience. For anyone interested in exploring performance art, I highly recommend this class and Professor Nathaniel as a guide and mentor.
