This class is so great! We went to YRL Special collections to find primary sources -- and wrote essays on passages from those sources. You have pretty much complete control over what you'd like to research (as long as it's in the required time period) and Prof McClendon is very helpful with her comments. The seminar classes in special collections were so interesting, although some weeks were a little boring -- the class focuses more on the process of research and writing than the time period, that's up to you to study in your own time for your paper. If this is the type of capstone you're looking for, I'd highly recommend it.
