uummmmm BEST CLASS AT UCLA!!! Woolsey is such a good lecturer and the TA lectures were good too. I'm seriously gonna sit in on this class another quarter before I graduate. You learn so much and listening to GOOD music is how you study for test. Amazing. You just make playlists to study and have to memorize significance of certain songs/artists. Easy A if you love rock!
Easy A. There is a textbook with assigned reading every week. The book is long, boring, and very confusing. Luckily nothing from the readings are on the test, so you don't even need to buy the book I didn't do any reading after week 2. The lectures are 2 hours and also very boring, but make sure you go because the test material comes directly from lecture. If you have the fantasist idea about U.S. history from 1900-1999 and understand the major cultural movements during the time period then you will do fine. One group project at the end is a pain but the TA grades easily. Overall easy A.
This class was fairly easy. Lectures are pretty much pointless, all you need to know for the exams are definitions of terms that she gives you beforehand and song identification that she also gives you beforehand. The group project is a pain but as long as you have a good TA you'll be fine. Definitely an interesting class.
