Michelle Weir is the worst voice teacher in the universe and she should not be teaching at a major university. Her intonation is terrible and she's very intimidated by students who can actually sing. She also practices skipping steps so the assignments she gives you comes out wrong. It's just a terribly wasted opportunity to have her in that position. I think the ethnomusicology department should seriously consider the tenure of all the jazz vocal instructors, especially Ms. Weir's.
