This class is about analyzing risks and benifits of using a few perscription drugs and the drug industry as a whole to a certain extent. It is not about illegal drugs. It is a moderately intesting Fiat Lux however and the professor is super knowledgable helpful and cares alot about the students.
Professor Gressor is a really sweet guy and genuinely is interested in the class, but his lectures are so boring. I can barely stay awake each seminar. On the bright side, only about 3 of the classes are lectures and the rest you just work in groups on presentations which are super easy. As long as you show up to class (or if you don't just let him know before hand) you will pass. I learned a bit about the FDA and drugs, but this class was a bit too dry honestly.
Mike was earnest in his fiat luxe, but it was a little boring at first when he would just go over research papers on COVID treatments and drone on and on. The second half of the class was dedicated to making a presentation on the drug of our choice (group work), so it was really easy and chill. He gives you so much time, so my group only worked on it during class. I honestly would forget that I was even taking this class because of how low-commitment it was, but I do regret not talking to the professor more one-on-one.
