The workload was very manageable. It was only 2 papers, a midterm and final. Both the midterm and final were open note and take home. Each of them both have a review session that ensures you pass and succeed. The professor is incredibly kind. She will answer and question and talk to you as a peer and it was very refreshing and made it helpful to ask any questions. Attendance was not mandatory and the material we went over was very interesting. There was also two extra credit assignments that garunteed you would get a good grade in the class. I disagree with the other review, she is a pretty easy grader. Yes a point may be taken off but if you talk to her she can explain why and make sure you don’t lose the point the next time.
This class is easy but it will make you feel iffy. First of all, there's a participation grade and she said she'd keep track of it by passing a paper around where we can sign our name but then she never did it. All assignments combine totals like 100 points so if missing a few points here and there WILL make a difference. VERY picky when it comes to writing and is unspecific about what she's looking for. For example, she'll take 1 point off for not mentioning something in a certain prompt even though you mentioned everything else and wrote it well. And taking off 1-2 points per assignment, good luck getting an A. This is supposed to be an easy throwaway GE class, and she makes it easy but hard at the same time. Wouldn't recommend her, I don't even think she's an actual professor but just a PhD student.
