This class was a pretty cool niche in sustainability but tbhh everything was kind of already self-deducible in terms of content -- didn't learn anything mindblowing. I think one benefit tho was being able to further practice writing policy memos, and also enviro related news w legislature was lit tho I feel like it's self-studyable. Mullin and the TA were hella sweet tho
Professor Mullin is a nice lady; she wants her students to all be okay and doing well, she really cared about knowing each of us. She was available for help and was always kind. She is knowledgable, and keeps everything simple. However, I did have multiple issues with the course. She graded policy memos very harshly, and gave us strict guidelines for our essays but short word-limits, which made writing my papers stressful, and I know many other students felt the same. Her lectures were pretty boring, I didn't really learn anything new, but I didn't mind going. The readings she assigned were mostly interesting, some long and boring. Professor Mullin is kind of weird over email, so definitely talk to her in person instead. She is a good person, and very nice, just not my cup of tea, kind of boring. I appreciated class discussions and her general teaching methods, but something about it was kind of boring to me. You choose a "case study" all of your papers are on for the quarter, so choose something you're interested in. She is super nice, the class is pretty easy, but I was pretty bored.
